1. Register with a domain
You will need a domain to use our service. If you already have one, you can sign up on this page. If you don't, register an account and then submit a ticket to sales requesting a free student account with a subdomain.
2. Submit student verification
Provide proof of student status - student ID, recent grade transcript, or enrollment on behalf of a teacher or professor.
3. Await account activation
We will verify submitted information and activate your account within 24 hours.
4. Use your free account
Once activated, you'll receive an email that will tell you how to start using your new hosting account! Enjoy learning!

Our student web hosting plan offers the disk space and bandwidth as our Performance Shared Hosting Basics plan but with the features of our Performance Shared Hosting Essentials plan, all for free!
Who qualifies for free hosting?
Students who are ages 18+ are qualified for free hosting by signing up and submitting acceptable documentation of your current student status. For students who are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian’s permission is required before we can provide an account. If you are an educator with students under the age of 18 that you wish to enroll, you can submit permission forms to our sales team at [email protected] Please also include a list of student names and school emails. If your school blocks external emails, please allow “[email protected]” to reach your students’ inboxes.
What documentation is acceptable for student status?
You can submit one of the following:
- Valid student ID with name as it appears on the account.
- Report card/progress report/semester transcript.
- Unofficial transcript.
How long will I have student hosting?
We are proud to offer student hosting for free, even after you graduate. However, we will delete inactive student accounts if they are not renewed. Student web hosting is provided in 1 year terms. If you register on April 4, your account remains valid until April 3 of the following year. Prior to April 3, you just need to let us know that your account is active and being used by responding to the email we will automatically send you 7 days before your renewal date. If we don’t hear from you, we’ll delete your account.
Do I need a domain name?
Yes, our accounts require a domain name. As a student, we will subsidize the cost of a domain by 50%, meaning you will need to provide the other half of the payment. If you prefer not to pay, you can use a free domain such as .tk. Alternatively, you can use a free subdomain you.nodespacesites.com. Just let us know what subdomain you would like and we’ll add it to your account. You will just need to sign up first and then request student hosting by opening a support ticket.
I’m an educator and I want to set up accounts for my students, can I do this?
Sure! Please reach out to [email protected] and we can assist you. Please let us know if your students are under the age of 18. Unfortunately, we cannot host anyone who is under the age of 13 due to United States privacy laws regarding children.
